The Ecological Intelligence Symposium & Moodeng AI Challenge by True Digital Park is turning the question, “What if we could talk to animals?” into more than just imagination. In 2025, AI technology is moving closer to enabling human-animal communication, not only for conservation and veterinary care, but also to deepen our understanding of nature in a whole new way.
When Technology Meets Inspiration from “Moodeng”
The name “Moodeng AI Challenge” was inspired by “Moodeng” the world-famous pygmy hippo, symbolizing the connection between advanced technology and the mysterious beauty of nature. Finalist teams were challenged to develop AI-based solutions in three key areas:
-AI for Decoding Animal Communication
-AI for Promoting Human-Animal Interaction
-AI for Augmenting Zoo Keepers
Each team presented their ideas with remarkable creativity and technical depth. Many of the concepts showed real potential for future application like using machine learning to analyze animal sounds for emotion detection or building systems that translate pet needs into messages humans can easily understand.
A Global Stage of Cutting-Edge Ideas
The event also featured talks from world-class experts, including MIT Media Lab and several organizations from across Southeast Asia. These speakers explored new dimensions of AI, including:
"AI for Conservation" – How technology can aid wildlife protection and ecosystem preservation
"Listening to Nature"– The idea of using AI to interpret the language of the natural world
"Co-Creation with Nature" – A vision of how humans and the environment can evolve together
This event didn’t just inspire it raised deeper questions:
“If AI really allows us to communicate with animals, how would that change our lives?”
