Fast, Fair And Fun: Formulas For Taiwan’s Success Against COVID-19
"It is technology that brings itself to people, instead of people adapting or conforming to technology."— Audrey Tang, Digital Minister (Taiwan)

Taiwan is one of the countries that has had the best response to COVID-19 without a nationwide lockdown. But how did they do it? In her talk as part of the Great Forum event, Audrey Tang, the Digital Minister of Taiwan, shared Taiwan’s experiences of using technology to fight against COVID-19 by adopting a Fast, Fair and Fun approach:

Fast: back in December, the Soft Intelligence Team took action the day they found out about SARS cases on PTT, the Taiwanese webboard, in mainland China.

Fair: to ensure that masks are distributed evenly across the nation, technology is used to collect data and track distribution.

Fun: Taiwan has applied a “humour over rumour” approach to keep people calm and make politics more accessible.

For Audrey Tang, she believes that "it is technology that brings itself to people, instead of people adapting or conforming to technology."
