2022: A Year to Remember

In 2022, we saw:

• 900+ events,
• 200+ community events by TDPK team,
• 300+ courses under House of Digital Academy,
• and 300+ business matchings

All these events happened at True Digital Park—Southeast Asia’s largest tech and startup hub.

Here are the highlights of what happened at True Digital Park in “2022: A Year to Remember”.

Big Events at True Digital Park in 2022

HACKaTHAILAND: Digital Thailand Big Bang

HACKaTHAILAND is among the first big events this year. It is organized by Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) to raise awareness and disseminate knowledge related to digital technology. We saw 500 teams joining the HackaThailand competition.

Tech ConNEXT Job Fair 2022: Connecting Your Next Opportunities 

True Digital Park, together with ConNEXT, gives tech talents opportunities to step up their careers with organizations and tech companies with over 1,000 job positions at the fair. This event received great responses from both exhibitors and visitors. So be prepared, the job fair will return in 2023!

Bangkok Wittaya 

Bangkok Wittaya is an event organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in conjunction with the private sector for young people and those who are interested in learning about robot technology and innovation. CP and its affiliates helped organize this event at True Digital Park. We were honored by Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt who came to join this event as well.

TDPK Open House

In August, True Digital Park soft open our brand-new building “True Digital Park West”. We organized an “Open House” for visitors to experience new event spaces, which include TDPK Grand Hall —a large convention hall for up to 500 people, and other spaces such as classrooms and training rooms. (If you’re wondering when the grand opening of True Digital Park West will be. Well, it’s coming in Q1 of 2023!)

Digital Night 2022

Digital Night 2022 is organized by eight digital associations in Thailand and was intended to be a year-end networking event. In addition to the participants getting to know the update in the digital ecosystem, there were knowledge sharing sessions and a concert.

Decarbonize Thailand Symposium 2022

Decarbonize Thailand Symposium 2022 is a seminar on energy to lay down a decarbonizing roadmap through collaboration between businesses and the government to achieve energy sustainability. It is the final part of the Decarbonize Thailand Sandbox (DTS) Program--an opportunity for corporates and potential startups to test their innovation to achieve the ambitious goal to decarbonize Thailand’s industry.

MIT Media Lab Southeast Asia Forum

MIT Media Lab (The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s interdisciplinary research lab) has brought the latest research and insights to Bangkok at the “MIT Media Lab Southeast Asia Forum”, co-hosted by KBTG and Bangkok Bank in collaboration with True, the MIT Alumni Association and MQDC. With its mission to create a space to share transformative technologies, state-of-the-art research, and the use of emerging technologies to invent a better and more just future, the event was held under the theme “Beyond the Elephant in the Room”.

Startup Booster

Startup Booster Program by True Digital Park is a startup incubator program that provides startups and entrepreneurs with the knowledge and expertise needed to drive their business capabilities. Build connections with top mentors and business experts provided by True Digital Park and our partners and get a 1-year smart visa type S to stay and work in Thailand.

SME Nextformation

This year, True Digital Park continues to build on its success with SME Nextformation Batch 3 and 4 to encourage new SME entrepreneurs with new sales strategies and find new customers in the online e-commerce world. Both SMEs and startups benefited from the online courses offered by this program. For those who are interested, new courses are coming in 2023. Please follow us on True Digital Park Facebook page.

Thailand Post: Journey to Startup Sandbox 2022

Thailand Post joins forces with True Digital Park to offer opportunities for new generations to drive innovation for the efficiency in the logistics sector. In addition to receiving funding to support business development and co-working space for use, selected teams have also gained knowledge from workshops and various advice from experts to further expand their business.

GPSC Greenovation Startup Sandbox

GPSC opened a stage to search for the best business developer in electric power, to drive green energy innovation for use in the future. The selected teams have pulled through more than 5 months of workshops and pitching. We hope this will be an important step in driving sustainable energy in the changing world.

Creative Experience Design Sandbox

AADX joins forces with True Digital Park in organizing Creative Experience Design Sandbox to teach how to think creatively by applying the concept of Design Thinking through an intensive project over 3 weeks. Besides learning from the expert, participants get to learn from a VC and a startup founder during the knowledge sharing session as well.

Partnership Collaboration in 2022

Eigen Energy

True Digital Park welcomed our new tenant, Eigen Energy —a renewable energy systems integrator with a core competency in EV charging infrastructure support, solar photovoltaic technology, and energy storage systems. Eigen, along with its partner, Kigo, attempted to demonstrate the experience of EV ownership through its long-range journey from Singapore, through Malaysia, with Bangkok as the destination.

TK PARK

True Digital Park, together with Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park), announced the cooperation to open a learning center in the form of "Library of Life" under the new branch of TK Park at True Digital Park West. The new space will cater to youth and people who love to read. Visitors can enjoy the variety of books, learning tools, media, and various activities to promote reading and learning. TK Park at True Digital Park West will be open in early 2023.

DTE

True Digital Park and Digital Technology Entrepreneur Trade Association (DTE) signed an MOU to jointly promote the tech ecosystem, covering joint activities, whether it's talk sessions and workshops via TDPK TALK and various courses via True Digital Park House of Digital Academy (HODA) to help upskill and reskill startups and those who are interested.

Collaboration with educational institutions

Overseas students are coming back to Thailand through projects and internship. True Digital Park welcomed Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and more. TDPK is now the connecting point for the international institutions for sending interns to startups in our ecosystem or running incubators, hackathons, or other business/tech related projects to open more opportunities in business and innovation development for the students.

Lifestyle events at True Digital Park in 2022

Film Festival

We have joined Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in providing the outdoor space for the “Film Festival”. People in the area came to experience the atmosphere of watching movies outdoors on 3F at 101 Garden.

MUT visit

We have also welcomed Miss Universe Thailand 2022 (MUT 2022) to True Digital Park West or our new building. The group visited our new event spaces such as TDPK Grand Hall and The Club.

The Park of True Happiness

We have launched a grand year-end celebration "THE PARK OF TRUE HAPPINESS”. Under ‘COSMIC CHRISTMAS’ theme, the event brings moments of happiness along with fun and special activities from 23 November 2022– 8 January 2023.

The Gate Immersive Theater

The last lifestyle event of the year is "THE GATE IMMERSIVE THEATER". Visitors get to explore the world of art through immersive experience, using latest digital technology. The exhibition runs from 15 December 2022 - 15 March 2023 at 1F, True Digital Park West.

Awards we received in 2022

Most Active Community Builders

For the 3^rd year in a row, True Digital Park was voted among Outstanding Ecosystem Leaders at the ORIGIN Innovation Awards. And this year, we won Most Active Community Builders of the ORIGIN Innovation Awards 2022.

It has been an incredible year for True Digital Park. We have received many positive responses from the events and programs that we organize for the first time. Most of which will continue in the coming years. Many more events and projects are lined up for the exciting 2023.
