Recipe For Success: How CPF adopted technology during COVID-19
"Technology will help works to be more productive and effective. It will be able to help us foresee the future and problems that can be prevented." — Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO - CPF

Unsurprisingly, many businesses have shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for CPF, their performance is perhaps the best it has been in 20 years. During the recent Great Forum event, we spoke to Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, the CEO of CPF, on the technology this food giant used to fight against COVID-19.

India is CPF’s only manufacturing base country to be heavily affected by COVID-19. To help, CPF came up with clear steps and solutions to protect its employees and the factory they work in. They provided shuttle bus services for workers, invested in temperature screen monitors, prepared masks and food-grade sanitisers, and spread knowledge through posters, e-mails, and an internal radio system.

CPF relies on technology tremendously, which is something they have also implemented in their food production processes: a bio-security system manages security and hygiene, which includes an air conditioning system, control system, personnel entry system, automated farm, and semi-infrared cameras.

Mr. Prasit believes that "Technology will help works to be more productive and effective. It will be able to help us foresee the future and problems that can be prevented."
