Opn, a subsidiary of SYNQA (Singapore) and a pioneer in the fintech industry, announced the launch of their new NFC solution, Opn.Tag, for the Thai market. Opn aims to support the digitization of companies in Food & Beverage and Hospitality industries, optimizing their services by leveraging NFC (near-field communication) technology.
Opn.Tag is NFC-enhanced programmable stickers that can be used to connect to digital services by simply tapping the tag with one’s smartphone. Opn is focusing on offering solutions for restaurants, bars, and hotels. With Opn’s tech capabilities, Opn.Tag offers a seamless, dynamic experience for customers from accessing a digital menu to paying the bill, sharing promotion codes, and much more.
“With the pandemic, we saw an urgent need to reduce the need for physical contacts or touching surfaces. We wanted to support those businesses that are facing a strong desire to implement digital solutions'', said Opn Founder & CEO Jun Hasegawa. “Over the past few years, the Thai market has become significantly more accustomed to using digital payment solutions. In addition, “contactless'' food delivery and ordering with a QR code is common in most establishments. We’ve taken that existing framework and created technology that maximizes its potential.”
To mark the public launch of Opn.Tag in Thailand, Opn is encouraging businesses in the Food & Beverage and Hospitality industries to register at https://www.opn.ooo/tag for more information about integrating Opn.Tags into their business. Opn will select 50 “Pilot Merchants” out of a pool of registrants to receive Opn.Tags and service free of charge. Currently, notable Bangkok establishments OOOBKK and Factory Coffee are two of Opn’s first Pilot Merchants.
