Join Bangkok Climate Change Hackathon
True Digital Park and British Embassy are thrilled to organize Bangkok Climate Change Hackathon. We are looking to find a team/individual with the best viable solution to help tackle climate change.
 
If you are interested in making a difference with an opportunity to win a prize (total prize worth THB660,000), please apply by 26 October 2020 and see you on 7 & 8 November 2020 at True Digital Park or online for those living elsewhere in the world.
 
Who should join?
 
- Thai or British national who wants to make the world better
- Someone who like challenges
- Someone who want to learn more about climate change
- Student, employees, business owners, general public
 
Remark: At least 50% of your team members must have Thai or British nationality.
 
What to expect?
 
- Learn more about clean growth, adaptation, climate finance, and nature-based solution from the webinar
- Improve your skills in business and pitching
- Meet new friends and have fun at the workshop and hackathon
- Present your ideas in front of judges and audience, including those from large corporates and government sector
- During 7-8 November, there will be a panel discussion on climate change and a couple workshops before the hackathon. Participants are expected to join all sessions on both days at True Digital Park or online for those living elsewhere in the world. It's going to be fun!
 
*Those who sign-up as an individual will have to find a team of 3-5 people during the hackathon (7 November).
Prize details are as follows:

Winning team gets 360,000-baht worth of prize value—consisting of:
• 60,000-baht cash
• 12-month True Digital Park membership for up to 3 people worth 270,000 baht
• AWS $1,000 credit (approx. 30,000 baht)

Second place team gets 195,000-baht worth of prize value—consisting of:
• 30,000-baht cash
• 6-month True Digital Park membership for up to 3 people worth 135,000 baht
• AWS $1,000 credit (approx. 30,000 baht)

Third place team gets 107,500-baht worth of prize value—consisting of:
• 10,000-baht cash
• 3-month True Digital Park membership for up to 3 people worth 67,500 baht
• AWS $1,000 credit (approx. 30,000 baht)

Don't worry if you don't have any idea or any team yet, you can form a new team with other participants and develop new ideas during workshop during 7-8 November.

If you have a team, please have all of your team members sign up individually, but make sure to fill in the same team name.

 
Terms & Conditions:
  1. Application closes on 26 October 2020.
  2. If there are more than 20 applicants, True Digital Park and British Embassy will assign a team to select most suitable applicants based on their ideas, their practicality, and business feasibility. The selected teams/individuals will be notified via email on 3 November 2020.
  3. True Digital Park and British Embassy have the right to disqualify anyone that we suspect of cheating or have used someone else's idea without permission for the pitching round.
  4. True Digital Park co-working space membership for hackathoners is valid from 1 December 2020 onwards and must be redeemed within 30 November 2020.
  5. You can claim True Digital Park co-working space memberships for the people who have been registered on Bangkok Climate Change Hackathon registration platform and individual who form a team during the workshop on 7th November only. E.g. if your team consists of 3 people, you can claim membership for just 3 people.
  6. On the sideline of Bangkok Climate Change Hackathon, we also offer free webinars to equip you with knowledge in climate change and relevant topics. These webinars are open and free for everyone, no matter if you join the hackathon or simply just want to learn more on the topics.
